In today’s date, Social Networking is not for connecting to people and making new friends online. To make good use of Social networking we switch to social selling. Social Selling involves making good relationships with consumers and making brand awareness. It was aware of the products and other services which are provided by the companies.
Consumers can easily compare the products on the basis of pricing and quality. In this, every day new people explore the products and services, they are provided with every facility but they are not making new friends and connecting through social networking, they are just for consumers and we have to serve them nicely. Let’s take Instagram only, in this we can purchase on that post without actually leaving the app. Brands like Adidas, H&M, Zara, Prada have done this feature recently on their pages and many more brands too. Like this Facebook and Google also did the same thing but in a different way. They showcase 10 images or videos within a single ad, each with its own link.
This allows users to search for products online and compare prices between vendors. Everyone is using social networking sites for their particular purposes, but when it comes to promoting and increasing the sales of a specific product and warning people about the product. This needs a specific system to work on it and needs a lot of patience.
So, if we start we are struck by two main essentials which are required in the social networking field i.e Social Selling and eCommerce Strategy. Now for the marketers who are working on it sometimes gets confused that how these can be differentiated and how it’s interlinked to each other.
For a clear view, social Selling is mainly about developing relationships and targeting consumers at the awareness stage. In this stage, it’s usually more educational and informative.
Now if we jump into eCommerce Strategy that only focuses on the customer groups with higher purchase intent and also increases the sales. When marketers do social selling they make sure that trust should be the most priority while making new users.
As people use their mobile phones for a long time and they see all the social networking sites on a daily basis. Therefore, to promote the brand and make it aware of users, marketers contribute to social networking sites such as Facebook, Google, Instagram, and much more.
The Instagram app has been upgraded with a special feature called the checkout feature. This enables users to purchase products on the existing post only and then you need to check out the page and place the order.
While doing a survey we got to know that Singaporeans are interested in apparel, bags, and electronics. So, the marketers focus on these things only and promote so that the selling you should be good and I should increase in the near future.
Omni -channels stores are around the corner and are new in the social selling concept. It’s a multi-channel sales approach that provides the customer with integrated customer experience. The customer can be shopping online from a desktop or mobile device, or by telephone, or in bricks and mortar stores and the experience would be seamless.
